Mr. Curious Gets a Holiday Surprise

Mysterious cardboard box

There is not a lot of set up to this story. All you need to know is that it happened during the winter holiday season and that I was reminded of it last week.

Miss CC (Consistent Contraception): “Remember the time Mr. Curious opened my birth control in the office?”

Me: “Uh, how could I forget that story!?”

Story goes like this: Miss CC was out of the office when a package came for her. Being that it was the holiday season, Mr. Curious assumed it was food from a vendor and, rather inappropriately, opened the box. He was wrong. It was birth control.

Miss CC is sitting in a meeting when she gets a panicked text message from Mr. Curious.

Mr. Curious: “I opened your birth control because I thought it was cookies! What should I do?”

Miss CC: “Uh, okay.”

Mr. Curious: “Are you coming back to the office before you leave for the holidays? Do you need me to take it home? What should I do?”

Miss CC: “Just put it in my office.”

Mr. Curious: “Are you sure? Will it be okay in there? I can just take it home.”

Miss CC: “It will be fine. DO NOT take my birth control to your house.”

Cut back to present day:

Me: “I like that taking your birth control to his house seemed like a reasonable solution. How was he going to explain that to his wife?”

Miss CC: “This is why opening someone else mail is a federal offence.”

These are just the crazy things people tell me.
