Laura Sessions Stepp

Laura Sessions Stepp is a Pulitzer prize-winning journalist and author who would rather be singing backup for a rock band. She is the Senior Media Fellow at The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, a former Washington Post reporter, and the author of books on sex and young people including Unhooked: How Young Women Pursue Sex, Delay Love and Lose at Both. Her work has been published in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and Working Woman and she has appeared on television programs such as the “Today Show” and “Nightline.” She has an uncanny ability to talk to young people about sex, love and relationships, which was probably torture for her three grown children. She is an avid swimmer, a fan of popular music, and married to a man she met at work more than 25 years ago.
