About Us

SexReally.com is a site for 20-somethings focused on relationships, love, sex, and all the messy, wonderful stuff that goes along with those topics. Sponsored by The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, the site is a place where people can tell stories, discuss relationships, and learn more about making wiser, healthier decisions, including the decision to steer clear of unplanned pregnancy.

Did you know that in the United States, seventy percent of pregnancies to unmarried women in their 20s are unplanned?  Many of those pregnancies lead to single parenthood or abortion. Unplanned pregnancy to unmarried women in their 20s is widespread, crossing income, education, and racial boundaries.

Sex is everywhere.  You can find it on TV, in magazines, on the radio, and of course, online.  But quantity is not quality and it’s sometimes hard to tell fact from fiction.  SexReally.com is committed to providing an amusing, comfortable space where adults can interact and learn from each other.  The site seeks to be both entertaining and informative, fostering conversations about relationships and sex while addressing gaps in people’s knowledge about fertility and contraceptive use through polling, videos, and other content.

The flagship offering of this site is podcast series hosted by Laura Sessions Stepp, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who worked for The Washington Post and has written for 15 years about young adults and relationships.

Though there are lots of websites that deal with these issues, many of the sites meant for young adults fall into one of two camps: authoritative but dry, or engaging but uninformed. We hope that SexReally.com strikes the delicate balance between being a destination that 20-somethings will actually want to visit and being a credible information source that people can trust.

SexReally won’t tell you how to think about sex, but we hope it will provide food for thought, and for discussion. Sort of like a sex site for the brain...
